Molly's Birthday

So I did a rainbow theme for Molly's 2nd birthday party.

It was SO much fun to plan and put together! The party was fun too. :)

Here are just a few photos I had time to take. My sister-in-law was my "Official Photographer" and she is an AWESOME photographer. So I will be able to post more later once I get those from her.

DIY Hair Bows

So I've been doing a lot of fun projects for Molly's 2nd Birthday Party that's next weekend.

Her Birthday Party Theme is going to be Rainbows, and I am super excited!

I am making bows for the little girls that come to party as party favors.

Here is the tutorial....

First collect your ribbon, buttons, and anything else you might want on your bows.

Then you will also want to collect some hot glue, scissors, bobby pins and barrettes.

I am going to show you how to make the white and yellow "flower" bows in the top photo.

First you will cut 3 strips of ribbon- it doesn't matter what length, just cut them so that when they are folded in half, they will be the size of bow you want.

Then you will need to hot glue your strips into circles, then glue the centers together to make a figure 8.

Next glue two of the "8's" together like in the picture.

Then glue the last "8" through the middle like so.

Glue your button on the center of the front.

Glue the finished bow into the end of a clip.

And your done!

You can also put these bows on a bobby pin. Here's how you do that.

Cut a small piece of the ribbon you used for the bow.

Place it in between the top and bottom pieces of the bobby pin. No need to glue it until the next step.

Place a dot of glue on the back of the bow and push the pin into the glue, the small piece of ribbon will act as a barrier between the glue and the top piece of the bobby pin so it doesn't get glued down.

Sunday Rantings

So... I will be participating in the May photo a day photo challenge with a blogger who found me, Annie here. I am really excited about this! I just hope that I can keep up!

I apologize to anyone who is here that I haven't posted anything of importance lately. This summer I am hoping to have a lot of DIY things and summer fun to post about.

Life has been really crazy. With work, husband, kid, home life, training for the Warrior Dash (which is only a few weeks away!), the very thin social life. When is there time to be me and not worry about anything or anyone else?

AND Molly has been teething, 4 teeth at the same time! No sleep for mommy and daddy and a really HIGH fever for Molly since Thursday evening.

Also, I have really neglected some friends. I feel awful about it. How do you apologize for being a bad friend?

 Where has the time gone?

So much to say... so little time.

I am sugar detoxing.. with my friend Jackie, here at The Crunchy Poser you can read all about it.

Seriously. It's hard! Although, (sorry Friend) I had to stray tonight. It was my sister-in-laws birthday and could not pass up a small piece of ice cream cake. It won't happen again, for another week and a half though! I promise!

My husband and I went into the field by our house and flew a kite with my sweet lovie Molly. It was so fun and she LOVED it! Here are some Kite pics. Enjoy!

Handing over the string.

 Taking charge of the string.

I love that sweet face.

Me and the husby.
The Family.

However, when we got back inside I went to look at my pictures, and the kite pictures were there, BUT ALL the pictures I have taken since February 15 have totally DISAPPEARED off my card! Talk about devastating! I mean, SO many cute little "photo shoots" with my sweet girl, my birthday, the husby's birthday, visits with Grandma! Memories that's just that memories, nothing to look back at.

I cried. But, I'll get over it, and take a thousand more to replace those lost.

Have a great rest of the week all! xoxo

Daylight Savings

Sorry, I've been out of touch lately...

Let me just say, Daylight Savings, has NOT been a savings to me.

This week has completely WORN me out. I mean dog tired.

Molly, the Favorite Jr. has not been napping on time (try going to sleep at 1:30 or 2 instead of 12) or going to bed on time (try 8PM instead of 7), I haven't been sleeping well and I've been super busy at work. Also, it probably doesn't help that (as my husband likes to call it) "Grandma" is in town.

On the POSITIVE, I've been doing really well in my running. Adding a few laps, and miles every week makes me happy.  See, my husby and I are training for the Warrior Dash. I am super excited about it! This will be our 3rd dash.

AND Molly has been super cute lately, she is growing so fast. Makes me happy and sad both at the same time.

AND my super wonderful friends gave me some super wonderful gifts for my birthday! Happy Birthday to me! Awesome yummy healthy muffins from Jackie and lovely black heals from Ashley and Sarah. Love you girls! Plus he husby took me shoppin and got me a mani-pedi. LOVE!
